Body of Knowledge

The Civil Engineering Undergraduate Program was established with the founding of Batam International University in 2000 with the Faculty Establishment Decree Number 160/D/O/2000. The Civil Engineering Undergraduate Program has a broad knowledge in line with the rapid development of science and technology. The Civil Engineering Undergraduate Program covers five areas of expertise namely: Structure, Geotechnical, Water, Transportation and Construction Management. Based on these five areas of expertise, the Civil Engineering Undergraduate Program has the capability of graduates who have general civil engineering competence and do not specialize in civil engineering in particular. Furthermore, the body of knowledge of the UIB Civil Engineering Undergraduate Program is as follows:

Based on the Body of Knowledge above, what included in the Basic Sciences of Civil Engineering are: Calculus, Chemistry, and Physics. While those included in the Body of Knowledge (BoK) in the field of Civil Engineering are: Engineering Mathematics, Numerical Analysis, Construction Drawings, Structural Analysis, Fluid Mechanics, Soil Mechanics, Practicum Implementation, Planning and Design in the field of civil engineering, Project Scheduling, Project Management, and Specialization in Civil Engineering. Furthermore, the civil engineering professionalism group consists of: Leadership and Entrepreneurship, Pancasila, Citizenship, Project Investment Analysis, Practical Work, and Final Project/Thesis.
